After a long dreary winter, sprucing up your home for spring with bright colors may be just what you need to make the transition into our favorite season, spring. Decorating with bright colors and spring decor will undoubtedly improve your mood and stress levels.

In addition, a warmer temperature means it’s time to open up the windows and let in some fresh air.

Whether you have a big beautiful house or a small space, decorating for spring doesn’t have to involve something elaborate or expensive. Instead, making simple adjustments to your home can get you excited about spring and help you and your family get the most out of spring and summer.

So how do you spruce up your home for spring? Check out these three simple tips to decorate your home with a spring in mind!

Tip #1: Decorate your outdoor space

Spring wreath for front door

When it comes to spring, one of my favorite things to do is put a lovely bright wreath on my front door. So often, our front porch is the first thing that people see when they visit you at home. Decorating your front porch can be as simple as adding planters with fresh, colorful flowers, a clever welcome mat, and comfortable outdoor chairs if you have the space.

When decorating that backyard for spring, think about what you would like to use your space for. For example, if you plan on entertaining outdoor furniture is a must. Why not decorate with wicker furniture for your patio or balcony.

Add warm appeal to your space by using an outdoor rug with lots of color and pattern. Outdoor meals can be so much fun. So if you plan to use the area for outdoor dining, make sure you set the table with tablecloths and placemats.

Create an ambiance by placing lanterns around your patio furniture if you plan to create an outdoor bar decorated with our Parisian bar chairs.

Tip #2: Add spring home accents

The little trinkets and home accents that express our personality bring our home together best. Switching out your home furnishings is an inexpensive way to give your home a stylish update for spring.

If the pillows on your bed or sofa have dark colors, swap those with pillows that have a floral pattern or another fun design. Change out your shower curtain and add some fresh flowers in the bathroom.

Change out framed artwork and wall decor with cute sayings and bold prints. Create an inviting dining room by adding a beautiful centerpiece to your dining room table to add more color to the room.

Suppose it’s time to update your furniture and purchase a new slipcover for your sofas and chairs. We all want to get a restful night of sleep. To do this, make sure you have spring bedding to prevent you from getting too hot at night.

Tip #3: Do a little spring cleaning

Spring cleaning

We all enjoy cleaning. Springtime is the universal time for a deep cleaning of your home. While we don’t want to get you too excited about spring cleaning, we do want to share a few tips!

Start with a checklist of all the items you want to take care of. For instance, washing baseboards, organizing the garage, and cleaning windows are great chores to add to the checklist. A checklist will save you time by not re-cleaning a surface.

Don’t forget to declutter. Getting rid of items you don’t use can also eliminate unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Enjoy your space through spring and summer.

After following the tips above, you will be glad that you took the time out to spruce up your home for spring. You will have a space to enjoy with your friends and family all summer long!
