Resolution #7 Hit The Beach

I am cold. I am not one of those people who enjoy the winter months. I have tried skiing, sledding, cross country, snowmobiling, ice fishing and ice skating. After a few minutes, I'm always ready to hit the warm up hut or the lodge for a little apres' ski. I would much rather huddle under a warm wool blanket than brave the outdoors.  My favorite activity in winter is to hop a plane and catch some rays in a sunny spot far away from the ice and snow. So this year I resolve to hit the beach, any beach during these dreary days of winter.

I am spoiled.  Last March I escaped with some of my very best friends for  a week in Cabo San Lucas. Bay views, exotic food and drink and a chance to brush up on my Spanish added a Mexican flavor to an unusually cold Iowa winter. There was snorkeling, whale watching and general lounging about. It is no wonder that this year has left me cold.
