Our French Bistro furniture is manufactured in France with top-grade steel or aluminum. The furniture is either exclusively made of metal or used in combination with tear-proof Outdoor Technical Fabric, a PVC-coated polyester. It undergoes several stages of rust-resistance followed by two paint stages: an exclusive process in one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly plants in Europe.
One of two treatments are utilized: a High Protection Index 13 treatment in 13 stages and a Very High Protection Index 22, or cataphoresis for use in very humid or saline climates. (Cataphorese is available on any metal furniture at an additional charge). The paint used is a DuPont® powder, 100% polyester, anti-UV, and is deposited electrostatically on the furniture for optimal coverage, then baked at 193°.
The metal frames comes with a one (1) year structural warranty when properly maintained in ordinary residential use. Warranty for contract use is applicable for items certified for contract use. At factory option, repair or replace any product that has failed structurally during normal use and regular maintenance.
The environment the product is in, determines the life of the product. Occasional rust seepage from crevices and hidden unfinishable surfaces inherent in most designs and rivets is considered a care and maintenance function and is not considered a finish flaw. Rust will occur on exposed metal that has been chipped or scratched. Should this occur, the manufacturer recommends use of touch-up paint sold by your retailer or distributor. Product should be maintained annually. General life of the product will be extended with regular cleaning with soap and water, application of car wax, and treatment of any rust spots.
Due to the nature of wood, the Classique and Veranda chairs with wood slats are recommended for indoor use, on a covered area or limited outdoor use. Although in Europe, the Parisians enjoy the natural wood slats and allow the wood to weather over time. "c'est la vie"
