Applecart red is a painted finish that goes through a 5 step process.  A dark stain is applied over the paint to give it a is slightly distressed look. Order a sample 2.5" x 4" wood color chip for a $5 deposit with free shipping. We will refund your deposit of $5 when you mail them back to us (return postage not included).  Our finishes are not simple one step applications and the sample chip is painted/stained on plywood board (not on pine) and may not reflect the actual finished product.  You may consider ordering a small finished plate shelf to have a more exact match.  Click here to see plate shelf for $39.
